According to sources close to us, Jersey Moriarty will not be joining Hey Monday on their Acoustic Tour and has indeed been forced out of the band. We wish Jersey the best in his future endeavors. Look for an official announcement in the coming days.
Update:
Part 1 has been proven. Jersey is not on the Acoustic Tour. We’re being told that the Hey Monday’s performance on ‘Jimmy Kimmel Live’ will be Jersey’s last with the band.
We expect the band to make an official statement about Jersey’s departure within the next week (as things cool down with the release of Beneath It All).
Update 2:
Jersey confirmed that he is no longer a member of Hey Monday. While he did not say he was forced out, we didn’t expect him to. At least not until later in the future. If our source is right, as they have been about the rest of what we reported, we won’t hear that for awhile. Most departures, whether they be mutual or one sided, are reported as mutual for the sake of the reputations of all involved.
